Bhadohi, India
XYZ Floorings is at Jallapur, Nai Basti, near Carpet City in Bhadohi, and works in a single line, handloom rugs and durries. Mohd Imran is the contact for the firm. Flatwoven durries carry no knotted pile, which makes them lighter and reversible, and they are the everyday floor covering the Bhadohi looms have always produced alongside pile carpets. XYZ Floorings is a member of the Carpet Export Promotion Council, the Indian Ministry of Textiles body for carpet exporters, under membership number 7719.
Handloom rugs, durries
Handloom flatweaves with no knotted pile, which keeps them light, reversible and low enough to sit under a door. Colour and pattern are built in at the loom through the weft rather than added afterwards.
