Vintage is a Jaipur maker that trades as Vintage Jaipur and works from Samurai Farms on the Ajmer Road at Bhankrota. The business began in 1965 when Tara Chand Goel opened an antique shop and started exporting dhurries, and it is now run by the second and third generations of the family, Arun Goel with Siddhant Goel and Akansha Goel. Alongside flat woven dhurries coloured with natural dyes, the workshop keeps in house lines in wood work, stone inlay and overlay, upholstery, wrought iron furniture, marble work and hand painted textiles, with its own polishing shop. The Jaipur site is open by appointment. The company also sells at retail under the Decor Harvest name.
Vintage weaves flat woven dhurries by hand at its Bhankrota workshop, colouring the yarn with natural dyes. Dhurrie export was the line the family started with in 1965 and it still runs beside the furniture work.
The workshop sets semi precious stones into inlay and overlay panels, a Rajasthani craft it applies to table tops and decorative surfaces. Designs are made to order, so pattern, stone selection and layout are specified by the buyer.
Vintage runs its own carpentry shop and builds furniture in a range of woods, using traditional joinery beside modern machining. The same shop handles finishing, with a dedicated polishing line for wood treatment and moisture control.
The company makes bespoke sofas, chairs and upholstered seating to order at its Jaipur site. Frames are built in house and covered in the fabric the buyer chooses.
Vintage hand forges wrought iron furniture, producing both ornate pieces and plain robust ones. The metal work is done on site alongside the wood and stone shops.
The marble shop produces hand worked tables, art pieces and decorative objects in stone. It works with the inlay team where a piece combines marble with semi precious stone.
