Shamshi Exports has made carpets and floor coverings at Aalampur in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh since 1979. The house weaves hand tufted, hand knotted, handloom and flat weave pieces in wool and silk, and runs yarn spinning, dyeing and weaving in house. Ranges include the Anatoli hand knotted line, the Nairobi hand tufted line, the Fog flat weave line and a raw wool texture handloom line, alongside handloom durries, Lori durries and loom knotted rugs. Shag pile, Indo Nepali, Persian and Gabbeh carpets are also woven. Finished goods are checked by an in house quality control department.
