Saif Handmade Carpets LLP works from 4 Himmatpur Bakuchia in Bhadohi and traces the family carpet business to 1925, with the present firm established in 1995. It makes handmade woollen, cotton and viscose carpets along with flat weaves and durries, employing a workforce of 150 on a site of about 21,060 square metres where designing and screen printing are handled in house. Its qualities run to 3/12 and 3/16 Moroccan and plain hand knotted rugs, loom knotted rugs, hand tufted and table tuft, shaggy and braided rugs, and cotton, woollen, printed and digital printed durries. A sister firm, Saif Home Pvt Ltd, carries the textile lines of cushions, poufs, bathmats and throws. The company holds ISO 9001:2015, GoodWeave, SA8000, Sedex and Care & Fair certification, and has shown at the Domotex fair in Hannover for thirteen years.
Rugs knotted by hand in wool, cotton and viscose, offered as a plain hand knotted quality and in finer 3/12 and 3/16 grades. Compositions include a 100 percent New Zealand wool pile and an Indian wool pile on a cotton warp, in sizes from 60 by 90 up to 160 by 230.
