Rugs Overseas was founded in 2006 by B.R. Malhotra and works from M-70, Lado Sarai, Old M.B. Road, New Delhi, with a second Delhi office at F-213/D Maharaja Building in Lado Sarai and a store at Simbal Chowk, Mandi Pathankot Road, Mamoon, Pathankot. The firm makes and exports hand knotted carpets in Persian, silk, traditional, transitional, Turkish, modern art and abstract designs, along with one of a kind and museum pieces, and also carries out carpet washing and restoration. Export markets include the United States, Canada, Brazil, Russia, Turkey, Egypt and the UAE. The company is a member of the Carpet Export Promotion Council, the Indian Ministry of Textiles body for carpet exporters, under membership number 6544.
