Rita International was established in 1997 in Varanasi to serve the market for floor covering carpets and durries, and it now works as both a manufacturer and a trader. The company runs the full chain at its own facilities, from yarn spinning through dyeing, weaving, tufting, washing and final packing, and it weaves on handloom, hand woven and hand knotted lines. It says it uses environment friendly natural yarns and man made fibres and keeps its goods free of harmful dyes and chemicals. Its catalogue is organised into ranges including wool carpets, flat weave, Nepali rugs, outdoor rugs, round carpets and children's rugs. The company sells to fashion houses, interior decor companies, family owned retailers, large scale retailers and textile distributors.
