Orient Hometex is a manufacturer and exporter of floor coverings with its head office at Village Alipur Khalsa in Gharaunda tehsil, Karnal district, Haryana, and a production unit at Khamaria in Bhadohi. The company traces the business to 1975 in Bhadohi and was carried forward in its present form from 2008 by Imran Ansari and Firoz Ansari. It works in hand knotted and hand loom traditions alongside tufting and flat weave, with fibres sourced and tested in an in house lab before they reach the loom, and hand finishing that includes washing and stretching. The range covers rugs for indoor, outdoor and hospitality settings together with pillows, poufs and wall hangings, all offered for customisation. It has delivered more than a thousand bulk orders across two production hubs.
Orient Hometex makes handmade rugs in hand knotted and hand loom traditions as well as tufted and flat weave constructions. They are made for indoor, outdoor and hospitality settings, with customisation offered on design and size.
Pillows are made alongside the rug range at the company's Karnal and Bhadohi units. They are offered under the same customisation programme as the rugs.
Poufs are one of the accent lines listed with the rugs and wall pieces. The company says fibres for the whole range are sourced and tested in house before they reach the loom.
Wall hangers are hand crafted textile pieces shown with the poufs and pillows. Finishing for the range includes washing and stretching before despatch.
