Orient Carpets was founded in 1975 by Bechulal Gupta in the carpet belt at Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, and is now run by the third generation of the family. The house makes hand knotted carpets, Indo Nepali and Indo Tibetan weaves, handloom rugs and dhurries. Its office and showroom stand on Power House Road at Civil Lines in Bhadohi.
