Mir Handicrafts makes decorative cushions in a range of base fabrics including cotton velvet, linen, silk, rayon, wool and pashmina. They are produced through the company's network of cottage industries and passed through its own merchandisers for quality control, packaging and shipping.
The soft textile range extends to throws, curtains and duvets worked in the same natural and blended fabrics as the cushion line. Kitchen textiles are carried alongside them in the same home collection.
Poufs and stools are part of the company's home furnishing range, made up in the same upholstery fabrics as its cushions. They sit alongside wall art and posters in its home decor listing.
Christmas ornaments and baubles are made in Kashmiri paper machie, with paper pulp mixed with water and set in moulds, then dried, cut, glued and smoothed. Each piece is painted with organic pigments drawn from plants and minerals and sealed with a lacquer coat for durability and water resistance.
Cotton machie is worked through the same moulding, smoothing and hand painting process as the paper machie line. The company lists it with eggs, candle holders, Christmas ornaments and baubles as its machie ranges.
