Cherthala, India
Meta Classics Fibres has manufactured coir and rubber floor mats at Varanam P.O., Puthanangadi, in Cherthala, Alappuzha district, Kerala since 2004. The output is mats rather than carpets or rugs: rubber door mats, rubber moulded coir door mats, PVC tufted coir mats, coir matting, jute, sea grass and polypropylene mats, plus geotextiles and cotton mats. The works are ISO 9001:2015 certified and run more than 100 workers across three shifts, with all processes handled in house and containers stuffed in the factory yard. United States ocean import records carry 33 shipments running through September 2025, of PVC tufted coir products and printed coir door mats, consigned to Persian Area Rugs, Hills Point Industries, SJL Company, Otak Home Products and House of JGJ.
