Jaipur Rugs is a handmade rug house that works through a network of around 40,000 artisans. Its named collections include Manchaha, Meri Zameen and Rekhaon Ka Kaam, and its catalogue is organised into traditional designs rooted in Mughal and Persian pattern, modern rugs, kilims, round rugs and unshaped pieces. Rugs are woven in silk, in wool and in wool with bamboo silk. Its Jaipur Rugs Foundation concentrates on training and on women's employment in the weaving villages.
Manchaha is a hand knotted collection woven in silk and in wool with bamboo silk. The company presents it as the work of its own weavers designing in their communities rather than to a central studio brief.
Traditional Rugs is the house's classical range, described as rooted in Mughal and Persian heritage. The patterns are carried across its hand knotted qualities in wool and in silk.
Kilim Rugs are the flat woven range, made without a pile so the structure of the weave carries the design. They are grouped with the modern and traditional knotted lines as one of the company's main rug categories.
Round Rugs is the circular format range, offered as an alternative to the standard rectangle. It sits beside the company's unshaped rugs, which are woven to irregular outlines.
