Insigne Carpets Pvt. Ltd. was started in 2011 by Asif Rahman, who by his own account came into the carpet trade in 1988 and worked up from installation to running the firm. The company makes carpets to order for marine vessels, private jets, high speed rail, hospitality, palaces and villas, commercial interiors and entertainment venues, and describes itself as a project manager as much as a manufacturer. It draws on hand knotted, hand tufted, robotic tuft, Wilton, Axminster, flat weave and carpet tile production. The Axminster mill it works through runs twenty one Van de Wiele MAX 91 looms with automatic creeling and weaves up to thirteen rows, with an exclusive five and a half metre loom for wide widths and laser cutting for finishing. Its US trade record carries Indian hand tufted wool and tencel carpets and natural fibre handloom flat weave custom carpets, sold to the American contract carpet houses Jamie Stern Design and Rug Factory Plus. It works out of Delhi and says it supports customers in more than twenty five countries through a satellite office network.

High definition hand tufted carpets made for ships and marine interiors, with the company saying it will work in any fibre a client names. Its tufting equipment is customised to control speed, pile height, construction and direction, including vertical, horizontal and circular runs.
Wilton woven carpets for private aviation interiors, built on the dense heavy body construction the company puts first for high traffic areas. The weave is offered across a range of pitch densities with electronic jacquard patterning, in all cut pile, all loop pile or a mix of the two.
