H.A.G. Carpets is a Kolkata based carpet house with its administrative office on Ripon Street and its manufacturing unit on Jangi Road in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh. The firm was established in 1977 and is run by Atti Khan as director and chief executive with Saad Bin Mushtaque as director. It weaves hand knotted rugs up to four hundred knots per square inch and also makes hand woven, hand tufted, handloom, broadloom and Tibetan rugs in commercial quantities. Work is carried out in house across a dyeing unit, a washing facility, a loom division, a finishing department and a design studio, with carding, spinning, dyeing, knotting, washing, stretching, drying, shearing, carving and binding all done by hand. The company says it has served buyers across the United States and Europe for more than twenty five years, working with rug wholesalers, retailers and designers.
