Diamond Exports is a hand made rug and home textile maker in Agra that traces its start to 1977 and sent its first consignment of 100 knots per square inch oriental carpets to the United States in 1985. The company designs, develops, manufactures and markets hand knotted carpets, hand made rugs and cushions, in collections it calls DE Grass, DE Modern, Luxury cut pile, Flatwoven, Soft Loop and Jute. It employs 317 staff and 1,100 workers, supplies over 26 countries and works with more than 100 buyers. It brought the complete supply chain for hand knotted rugs and carpets in house in 2016, and weaving lead times on some collections run beyond six months.
