Design Home Tex is a home textile manufacturer and exporter in Panipat that trades as a unit of Design Collection. The firm was started in 1985 by P.K. Dhingra with three partners and twenty jacquard looms, and now runs a factory of more than 5,000 square metres holding handlooms, pit looms, frame looms, power looms, jacquard looms, bath mat tufting machines, embroidery and stitching units, and its own finishing and packing. Its range covers rugs, bath mats, bed covers, cushions, throws and table covers. The company says it exports to Germany, New Zealand, France, Italy, Greece, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, and that it meets CTPAT requirements. Design TEX, also in Panipat, is a separate unit of the same Design Collection group.
