Babu Coir Works manufactures and exports coir and other natural fibre floor coverings from Alappuzha, Kerala, working from a registered office and factory at Thumpoly and a second office and factory at Pathirapally. Its range covers coir brush mats, rubber moulded and rubber backed mats, PVC backed and PVC printed mats, jute matting and jute rugs, and shaped and customised mats for home and commercial use. It began manufacturing coir and other fibre products in 1976 and entered export in 1993.
