Asha Handloom weaves at Jagatpur Bisauli Kripalpur in Gyanpur, Bhadohi, and keeps a showroom at Sushant Lok Phase 1 in Gurugram. The work is led by the designer Ram Chander and began more than two decades ago in handwoven textiles. Production runs on jacquard and treadle looms and takes in kantha stitching and khadi, with yarn hand drawn and palm rolled, using tussar silk native to Orissa, Bihar and Chhattisgarh alongside merino wool, linen and cotton, and no chemical processes are used. Its catalogue covers throws, shawls, bed covers, cushion covers, curtains, table linen, upholstery fabric and rugs. United States customs records show four shipments between April 2017 and September 2020, the full run of its visible record, all of them rugs and carpets consigned to the Texas rug company Loloi.
