Artize Carpets is a handmade rug maker at Jallapur, Naibasti, Bhadohi in Uttar Pradesh, started in 1969 by Shaukat Ali Ansari. Its factory covers about 25,000 square feet and engages 150 to 200 weavers and artisans. Production covers hand knotted wool and jute rugs, hand tufted rugs, flat weave wool and PET rugs and jute durries, worked in Indian wool, New Zealand wool, rayon, viscose, silk, hemp and cotton. Bespoke rugs are made to designs, colours, sizes and specifications supplied by the client, in rectangular, square, diagonal or circular shapes, with production taking five to eight weeks. The company works with recycled and natural materials.
