Arif Rugs is a handmade rug maker at Waziri Road, Naya Bazar, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. The firm was established by Arif Ansari, whose father Zulkaif Ansari and grandfather Haji Moinuddin Ansari worked in handmade rug production before him. Production covers wool yarn spinning, weaving, washing, binding, embossing and colour matching. Weaves include Persian, Tibetan, hand tufted, handloom, flat weave, braided and shag, worked in wool, viscose, Tencel, bamboo, cotton and jute. Collections are grouped as Contemporary, Marble, Moroccans, Cozy, Natural Berber, Handloom, Hand Tufted, Anatolian Oushak, Antique Oriental, Kilims, Jute and Braided, and include Indo Nepali hand knotted rugs and Persian designs such as Mir, Heriz, Bidjar and Kashan.
Hand tufted rugs worked in wool, viscose, Tencel, bamboo silk and cotton. Sizes are made to each production order, with custom production and samples available on request.
