Antique Art Exports Private Limited was constituted in 1990 by Ashok Jain, who came to carpets from textiles at the National Textile Corporation and then through spells at Transasia Carpets and Nupur Carpets. The company runs a made to order manufacturing operation at 78 KM Stone on the GT Road at Karhans village near Samalkha in Panipat, and works across the three main Indian carpet centres of Panipat, Kashmir and Bhadohi. Its range covers hand tufted shaggies, hand woven carpets, hand knotted rugs including Kashmiri silk, kilims and flat weaves, jacquards, loom lories, printed and recycled rugs, flokati, leather pieces, cushions and bath mats. It supplies big box and boutique retailers, importers, wholesalers and designers across more than 30 countries. United States customs records list 11 shipments from that same Karhans village address to American rug buyers including Safavieh, Global Craft Imports, Trendy Rug Corporation and EV Home Furniture, covering Indian woven and tufted viscose and hand woven woollen and jute carpets.
