Bhadohi, India
Alfombra India is a Bhadohi maker and exporter of handmade carpets and rugs, working from Nehru Nagar at Nai Bazaar. The family carpet business dates to 1990. Production covers hand tufted, hand woven, handloom and handloom jacquard weaving, Persian knotting, Indo Tibetan knotting, Soumak flat weave and shaggies. Yarns used include New Zealand, Indian and blended wool, silk, bamboo silk, jasmine silk, sari silk, viscose, mohair, merino, alpaca, nettle, jute, hemp, linen, polyester, nylon, leather and cotton.
